Born in Huntsville, AL growing up in a religious household stifled his own athletic dreams. Following his parents’ footsteps, he earned a bachelor's in accounting, but still felt unfulfilled, unable to strive for his dream.

Since, he has combined his financial education and personal experiences to fill a void prevalent in sports today. The lack of financial literacy among athletes is leaving many professionals worse after retirement than before they started their careers.
